Sunday night everyone turns off the light early to sleep
For it jumpstarts the week, we got a ton to sweep
5 days packed with different places to conquer
Armed with brooms, buckets and of course a picker
Every team mate knows his own responsibility
We take pride in our job and do it thoroughly
We scour the sites in search of litter
And make each place shine and glitter
May I have the honor of presenting one by one
David, Aaron, Cameron, Sachin, Tanja, Gary and John
The proud members of the Semiahmoo’s #1 crew
Who are all out to merrily finish what they are tasked to do
“It’s all your fault!” that’s what David would holler
This phrase is quite an effective conversation starter
What the fault is we will never figure out
What ever happened we really don’t know what it is about
After the long chit chat and banter
We all go to McDonald’s to order
Cameron’s favorite breakfast platter
Bacon egg bagel, multi-grain and a cup of water
Held in the big hands of Gary,
is fresh newspaper that he reads daily
He’s checking how the day’s weather will be
Whether it’ll be rainy or sunny
Mr. Barlow is the crew’s next member,
You know you can rely on him whenever
When things start to fall apart and breakdown,
With his big voice, he is the sheriff of the town
Of course we won’t forget about Aaron
Who has a lot of ideas and a big imagination
He might be silent at first glance
But he is quite a conversationalist if he has a chance
Out of the blue comes Sachin
He carries with him the biggest grin
He makes everyone in the crew happy,
That’s if ever he is not that sleepy
However not all in the crew are men
For we also have our only woman
Her name is Tanja and she has such poise
But watch out for she knows how to be one of the boys
Ordinary men and women doing extraordinary feats
Living our lives to the fullest as we clean the streets
Making vivid memories of our daily routine
We all work together as one great team
Undeniably, the ground maintenance crew is not only our vocation
But more so, an outlet of our passion
We work here not to gain dimes and pennies
But to earn millions of priceless memories
Semiahmoo House Society is the place to be
For it fosters oneness and equality
We can be whoever we want to be
And not wear masks to get a yes from the community
Every day is a constant adventure
What tomorrow will bring we are never sure
But one thing we believe is known
In the Treehouse our hearts have found a home
