This has been a hard one for me. I’ve thought long and hard and I’ve read other people’s stories. Semiahmoo House to me and Manjeet is a home away from home. Everyone is so welcoming of all, be you a participant, staff, or a visitor. The joyous welcome that one receives sends a warm feeling through every bone in my body. Sometimes I walk into that building and it’s hard to distinguish between the service receiver and the service provider. Someone asked me the other day what particular disability a person that I knew had. For the life of me I couldn’t remember. We see people, not their disability. I am so honoured to be a part of SHS because I believe there is some amazing things happening here. I will always be indebted to you Doug for bringing me on board. It will be hard, if not impossible, to get rid of me!!!
