  • We are looking for:

    People who understand INCLUSION

    Community Support Worker Certificate/Degree or equivalent education

    Experience providing support to adults with developmental disabilities

    Class 5 or 4 Driver’s Licence

    Available for a minimum of 3 shifts per week (Group Homes require Days, Afternoons and Overnights)

    Wage starts at $25.95 per hour

    What You’ll Do

    · Build trusting relationships with the people you support, their families/caregivers, and community partners.

    · Support people to discover interests, build friendships, and take on meaningful community roles.

    · Meet people where they’re at, see their potential and help them reach their potential.

    · Support to learn important life skills such as cooking, communication, digital literacy, and self-advocacy.

    · Support people to learn to use transit, attend events, join clubs, go to the gym, access post-secondary learning opportunities.

    · Facilitate inclusion, and accessibility.

    · Help people set and work toward meaningful, values-based goals.

    · Use a coaching mindset—listening deeply, asking curious questions, and focusing on what matters most to the person.

    · Support families through change with empathy, clarity, and respect.

    What You Bring

    · Community Support Worker Certificate or equivalent.

    · Minimum 1-year experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.

    · Experience with community inclusion, life skills, recreation, or vocational support.

    · Strong de-escalation abilities, can respond with calm leadership and help guide people from an escalated state back to a place of safety and connection.

    · Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

    · Knowledge of Surrey/White Rock communities and local resources.

    · Excellent oral, written, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills in English

    · Experience with person-centered planning.

    · Class 5 driver’s license + daily access to a reliable vehicle (Class 4 within 3–4 months).

    · Current First Aid/CPR.

    · Computer literacy including Microsoft Office.

    · This position has a bona fide occupational requirement for male staff.t
